Starfish Learn to Swim Testimonials

Swimming Lesson Saves Life

To Whom It May Concern,

I have been a customer of Starfish Blue Smeaton Grange for the past 10 years. I have had a wonderful experience watching each of my children learn to swim and seeing them progress through the very detailed and comprehensive stages.

I have 3 children and my eldest son is now nearly 12. I started the Mums and Bubs class with him when he was 12 months old. My daughter is now 9 years old and both children have gone on to do silver squad training at both Macquarie Fields and Bradbury Pools. I kept them swimming at Starfish until they were able to enter the bronze squad level. I was very pleased with the attention to stroke correction by some very focused and expert staff at Starfish. The individual stroke correction has certainly helped them and be confident swimmers to participate in primary swimming carnivals at school.

My youngest daughter is now nearly 5 years and although we go to squad at the Council pools and it would be easier to have her in classs while the older two swim, I still make the trek from St Andrews to Smeaton Grange for her lessons for a number of reasons. Firstly, the quality of the lessons and individual nature of the instruction. We have had some marvellous instructors during our time. All children have had both a mix of male and female instructors.

Secondly, the makeup lessons when they are sick have also been a big bonus and have definitely kept mine swimming during the winter. By keeping them swimming during the winter it kept their skill level up. I recommend taking a hairdryer and showering them and putting them in PJ's after their lesson and putting a beanie on.

Thirdly, I have also liked the water safety that is constantly reinforced during the lessons.

Thanking you for providing quality instruction.
